Purple Diamonds
Purple (PP)-purplish (pp): Resembling the gemstone
amethyst and the lilac flower, purple is a nonspectral color, denoting a range
of colors between red and violet. Purple with tints of brown, pink or red are
spoken of as being warm colors, whereas purple with tints of gray or black are
spoken of as cold colors. The range of color tone for purple diamonds is
variable, mostly in lightness, resulting in a pale purple, bright orchid purple,
and deep amethyst purple.
